Training to become a Professional Reflexologist

As part of the regulatory process for reflexology the Reflexology Forum commissioned a Core Curriculum in July 2001. Recognising this to be a huge and unpaid task, volunteers were sought to form a working group. This group was to be made up of individuals with relevant experience and expertise from participating organisations.

The terms of reference of this working group are:

  • To take forward the work of the Reflexology Forum in respect of education and training, building on the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for reflexology.

  • To develop an over-arching core curriculum, methods of assessment and criteria for assessment of knowledge and competence.

This work forms the basis for a nationally recognised qualification.

Where we are now
The Core Curriculum for Reflexology in the United Kingdom has now been published. Please click here to purchase a copy.

The core curriculum will be an active document and will be reviewed regularly. As participating organisations review their own curricula, it is anticipated that they will use the core curriculum to inform their revision.
