Frequently Asked Questions

From the public:

  • Is there a Register of Reflexologists?

There is no single register at present. However, this is one of the aims of the RF and there will be a single register in due course. In the meantime, please contact the individual reflexology organisations listed under "Member Organisations", as each has its own individual register.

  • What is the difference between Voluntary and Statutory Regulation?

Please refer to the section on Regulation.

  • I am looking for a good reflexologist. Can you tell me where to find one?

Please contact our member organisations individually for details of trained reflexologists

  • What do I do if I am not satisfied with the reflexologist I have used?

If you are dissatisfied with your reflexologist we recommend you write to the professional body of which your Reflexologist is a member.

From prospective students of reflexology:

  • I am looking for a good reflexology course. Which course would you recommend?

Our policy is not to recommend a particular course. Please contact our member organisations individually for details of their reflexology courses. The Prince of Wales's Foundation for Integrated Health also publish a useful booklet "Choosing a course in complementary healthcare - a student guide" - see www.fihealth.org.uk

  • What should I look for in a reflexology course?

Any course which will enable the participant (upon completion) to join a body which is a member organisation of the Reflexology Forum and through which they may obtain insurance. Please contact them individually to find out their entry requirements.

Please contact any of our member organisations to find one which suits your needs.

  • If I have completed a reflexology training course which may not be acceptable to professional organisations, what do you suggest I do?
